Professional Shaded Area High Tolerance Grass Seed Mix
Our High Tolerance Grass Seed has been especially designed for shaded areas, for example, where trees are blocking the lawn from direct sunlight. This mix uses a blend of species that are capable of surviving in these dry, low nutrient soils that you often find in shaded areas.
Even though these seeds don’t need much sunlight or many nutrients, they still produce good ground cover with a fine sward.
The mix consists of:
| 40% | Creeping Red Fescue Festuca Rubra |
| 25% | Chewings Fescue Festuca Rubra Commutata |
| 20% | Slender Red Fescue Festuca Rubra Litoralis |
| 10% | Smooth Stalk Meadow Grass Poa Pratensis |
| 5% | Highland Bent Agrostis Capillaris |
The sowing rate is 35gm², overseeding rate is 20 gm² and can be mowed down to a height of 35mm.
If you’re looking to grow a lawn under trees and in heavy shaded areas, this is the perfect choice for you.
